About the Role:

Worcestershire County Council is seeking a

dynamic and experienced Compliance Manager (Fire Lead)

to join our team. This key position requires a proactive, self-assured professional who can work autonomously while providing strategic and operational oversight of fire safety compliance across council properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all fire safety compliance requirements are met and maintained. Provide expert advice and guidance on fire safety regulations and best practices. Lead risk assessments, audits, and inspections to mitigate fire hazards. Monitor and report on compliance performance across the organisation. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and training related to fire safety. Work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, and external regulators.

Person Specification / Essential Requirements:

Proven experience in fire safety compliance and management. Strong technical knowledge of relevant fire safety legislation and standards. Competent, proactive, and confident decision-maker. Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Working Pattern:

Hybrid role: Minimum 2 days per week in Worcester office. Flexible and mobile for the remainder of the week.
