This role involves conducting compliance monitoring and policy attestations across multiple regions, managing global compliance policies and training, and coordinating timely reporting. The successful candidate will also contribute to group compliance deliverables, support ad hoc projects, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the function. This role is globally focussed so will involve ongoing engagement and stakeholder management with key individuals in the UK, Netherlands and the US amongst other locations Additionally, the role includes deputising for the Head of Global Compliance Operations when required, although does not have any line reports.
This is a varied and high-exposure role, offering the opportunity to work across multiple compliance disciplines, engage with senior stakeholders, contribute to global initiatives, and represent the function in key projects and forums. It's ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys both strategic and hands-on responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:Support the Head of Global Compliance Operations, including programme delivery, team oversight, stakeholder engagement, and representation in forums and projects.
Lead and deliver compliance monitoring reviews and policy attestations to a high standard, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Maintain and update global compliance policies and training content, ensuring relevance and regulatory alignment across regions.
Coordinate and deliver global compliance reporting and Aegon Group Compliance requirements within set deadlines.
Drive continuous improvement across compliance operations and contribute to key initiatives and projects.
Represent compliance in key projects, providing effective challenge and escalating concerns where necessary.
Lead oversight of key compliance-owned policies, such as the Code of Ethics and Data Privacy, ensuring business adherence and timely issue escalation.
We'd love to hear from you if you:Solid experience in compliance within an asset management firm
Strong capability in compliance monitoring, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach
Strong understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks, with knowledge of UK, Irish, US, and EU (including Dutch) regulations considered a distinct advantage
Extensive experience in audit and compliance monitoring, or a strong background in leading process and control enhancements within the asset management sector.
Strong communication skills, with proven experience engaging effectively across all levels of seniority.
Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while consistently meeting deadlines.
Enthusiastic to learn, have ambition to continuing growing knowledge / experience.
