We are looking for a
Compliance Officer
to join our team and make sure we continue to deliver trusted, compliant, and ethical renewable energy solutions.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring Carbon Energy Savings meets all regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements across our operations. From FCA and financial compliance to renewable energy regulations, you will help us protect our customers, strengthen our reputation, and maintain the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
Ensure ongoing compliance with UK renewable energy, consumer protection, environmental, and financial regulations (e.g. FCA, Ofgem, GDPR, HSE).
Act as the point of contact for regulatory bodies, auditors, and certification partners. (MCS, IAA, HIES, EPVS) Carry out compliance monitoring, audits, and risk assessments.
Deliver staff training on compliance obligations and ethical standards.
Investigate and resolve compliance issues, escalating where necessary.
Support due diligence and governance for new products, partnerships, and financing solutions.
Prepare compliance reports for senior management and the Board.
About You
Proven experience in compliance, risk, or regulatory roles (energy, renewables, utilities, or financial services preferred).
Strong working knowledge of UK compliance frameworks, particularly in FCA regulations, environmental/renewable energy standards, and data protection.
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. ICA, law, risk & compliance, environmental management) desirable.
Previous experience in the renewable sector would be advantageous.
