We are looking for a Compliance Officer (Mortgages)
Location: London Reporting to: General Counsel
Location: London/Hybrid
The role
We are looking to appoint a new Compliance Officer to ensure the practices of Rightmove\xe2\x80\x99s mortgage business are compliant with all necessary regulatory authorities, including the Information Commissioner\xe2\x80\x99s Office and the Financial Conduct Authority.


A typical week as the Compliance Officer (Mortgages) might involve:

• Monitoring, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations including FCA, ASA and ICO.
• Assisting with the development, implementation, and updating of compliance policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws and regulations.
• Educating fellow Rightmovers on compliance policies and procedures, including conducting training sessions as needed.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential compliance risks and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
• Preparing and submitting regular compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies, as required.
• Assisting in compliance investigations, including allegations of non-compliance and potential FCA violations.
• Coordinating and participating in compliance audits and examinations, ensuring prompt remediation of any identified issues.
• Implementing and overseeing the monitoring and testing programmes to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Developing and maintaining an incident response plan for addressing compliance breaches and breaches of ethical conduct.

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone who:

• Can work in a fast-moving environment with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ideally, has compliance experience within the Financial Services sector
• Knowledge of the FCA handbook and, in particular, MCOBS and the new Consumer Duty is desired
• Experience of working alongside multiple stakeholders
• Enjoys using initiation to produce innovative solutions
• Enjoys being hands on and applying expertise independently

We would love someone to have any of the following:

• It will be beneficial to have experience of working in both regulated and non-regulated firms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and high ethical standards.
• Data Protection experience and knowledge will be greatly beneficial
