Compliance project surveyor: fire safety Full time (37 hrs) 12 month fixed term contract \xc2\xa347,000 Closing date 8th December 2023 Interviews: TBC Who are we? Selwood Housing Group is a not-for-profit housing association committed to providing affordable local homes for our customers. We have around 7,000 homes for affordable rent and shared ownership in Wiltshire, Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset and employ over 300 staff from our offices in Trowbridge and Melksham. The role Our compliance project surveyors oversee programmes covering fire safety, legionella, asbestos, lifts, gas, and electrical. This role places a primary focus on fire safety. Collaboration is key to this role liaising with both the internal fire safety team and external consultants, who are currently leading our loft compartmentation projects. This role involves close collaboration with external consultants to manage loft compartmentation projects effectively as well as with the other surveyors and administrators within the organisation. Effective communication and coordination with external experts is essential for the seamless execution of projects from project inception to completion, including regular site visits, progress assessments and quality assurance. The key objectives are implementing fire safety measures and ensuring their optimal functionality complying with current regulations and legislation. The goal is to ensure projects are completed on time, meet deadlines and stay within budget. What we need For this role you will need to have the following skills and experience:

• GCSE or \xe2\x80\x98O\xe2\x80\x99 Level standard (or equivalent) with grade C or above in English and Maths
• HNC or CIOB in Building or Surveying or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of maintenance management and/or construction management.
• Knowledge of managing contracts within budgetary constraints
• Knowledge of project management
• Knowledge of computer systems in a maintenance environment
• Knowledge of fire safety compartmentation within loft spaces
• IFE certified Fire safety management and fire risk assessment course
• NEBOSH Fire certificate
• FDIS Diploma
