To lead and manage the company's compliance, product quality, and environmental management activities. This role ensures that Scotia Windows and Doors operates in line with all regulatory, customer, and internal standards, while supporting continuous improvement in safety, quality, and sustainability. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the role supports the company's commitment to operational excellence, legal compliance, and reducing environmental impact.
This includes overseeing the stock management system to ensure accurate recording of all materials, maintaining traceability from supplier through to customer, and ensuring that inventory levels are effectively monitored, reported, and controlled to support operational efficiency and customer delivery.

The role holds responsibility for driving performance in compliance, quality, and environmental management across all areas of the business.
Supports management teams across production, supply chain, and site services.
Works with external auditors, customers, and suppliers to ensure standards are met.
Leads internal improvement initiatives and reporting of performance against KPIs.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Analysing company data and specifications to set quality objectives.
Ensuring the monthly stock take is planned, executed, and reported on time with a focus on accuracy and full reconciliation of any variances.
Leading root cause investigations on product failures and customer complaints.
Collaborating with production and maintenance to implement robust quality controls.
Preparing sustainability data to measure and reduce the company's carbon footprint.
Monitoring production cycles, identifying and resolving process anomalies.
Liaising with suppliers to address quality issues and support their development.
Conducting second-party audits of the Scotia supply chain.
Ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Supporting the maintenance of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
Promoting safety awareness and supporting incident investigations and risk assessments.
Driving a behavioural culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
Communicating and engaging teams to promote continuous improvement.

To make decisions based on data, regulatory requirements, and best practice.
To ensure all quality, compliance, environmental, and safety procedures are followed and maintained.
To recommend and lead improvement actions across the business.
SPECIAL FACTORS
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Experience with Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and quality assurance tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience in continuous improvement and supplier management.
Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
