Overview


As an integral member of our technical team, we are seeking a compliance technician with a practical and proactive approach to help ensure Donald Russell remains a legally compliant Food Business Operator (FBO) and EC approved plant.

The role



Label Verifications Documentation checks. Making sure they comply with Food Law Regulations and retain these for the purposes of maintaining traceability. Working with the Production team & Hygiene Team to ensure that the standard of site hygiene is maintained as well as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is maintained. Measuring and Recording temperatures throughout the factory and adhering to procedures for the control of non-conformances. Undertake documented checks of finished Products. Assisting with Food Safety and Hygiene Audits when Required. Dealing with returns from customers and ensuring that returns are dealt with according to relevant procedures and reporting to Customer Services as required. Carry out environmental swabs & hand swabs. Placing products on QC Hold & Informing all relevant persons/departments where and when required. Enforce technical standards and procedures with Production/Fulfilment. Assisting with investigations customers complaints and non-conformance issues.

Qualifications



Internal Auditor Course. (Not essential) HACCP Training (not essential) Food Safety level - (elementary/Level 2)

Skills & Experience



QC/QA Experience

Previous experience working in a technical environment.
Background working in a food production environment (preferred).

Excellent communications skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with other departments and within the business. Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word). Customer Focused. Food Labelling Requirements.
