The Compliance / SDS Manager will be responsible for managing the creation, distribution, and compliance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for our products. This role requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and safety standards, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. SDS Management:
- Develop, update, and maintain SDS for all products in compliance with CLP, GHS, and other relevant regulations.
- Ensure timely distribution of SDS to customers and stakeholders.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor changes in regulations and standards related to chemical safety and ensure compliance across all products.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and industry groups to stay informed on best practices and compliance updates.
3. Training & Support:
- Provide training to internal teams and stakeholders on SDS compliance and understanding.
- Assist in resolving any compliance-related questions or issues raised by customers or employees.
4. Documentation & Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of all SDS and compliance-related documentation.
- Ensure documentation meets quality standards and is readily accessible for audits.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with all departments to ensure accurate chemical information and compliance.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to communicate product safety information effectively.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in chemical compliance, safety data management, or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of CLP, GHS, and other relevant regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and compliance management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in hazardous materials management or safety compliance.
- Experience in a manufacturing or chemical industry setting.
- DGSA Experience / Training.
Hours of work 0830-1700 Mon to Fri. Salary up to 50,000 depending on experience, plus bonus.
