Due to continued growth we are looking for Composite Panel Builders to strengthen our team and help us achieve our goals for expansion as one of the UK's leading Cold Store specialists.
We are a family run company situated on the North East coast of Yorkshire with years of experience in the Cold Store and Refrigeration industry. We build, repair and maintain Cold Stores across the country and at our own premises.
The Role
We require an experienced Composite Panel Builder to assist with the manufacture of panels for our portable cold stores. You will be responsible for assembling sheet components together in composite form on our dedicated vacuum press. Assist with the construction of the finished panels and build our range of portable cold stores to strict deadlines. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our products meet our quality and safety standards. You must provide an excellent work ethic and high level of workmanship along with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Duties
Be responsible for small team involved in the manufacture of composite panels
Assisting the workshop manager and team with cold store fabrication to a high standard
General workshop duties
Trim out Cold store panels and prepare for pressing
Composite panel manufacturing/pressing
Manual handling and heavy lifting
Maintaining a clean environment to work in and abiding by all Health and Safety Regulations outlined with the company policy
Be able to use a wide variety of hand/power tools and industrial machinery to a safe standard (Training will be provided)
Working to strict deadlines and time frames
Maintain cleanliness of all production areas
Due to the nature of the business and various demands, the successful candidate would be expected to assist in other areas of the KDM cold-store manufacture and refurbishment as required
Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience in a panel building or similar environment
Strong attention to detail
Possess a strong work ethic
Ability to meet targets on a daily basis
Some fabrication background desired
The ability to learn and progress
Initiative to work solely or as part of a team
Current driving licence advantageous
Self motivated and punctual

(In certain circumstances KDM may be able to assist with transport to and from site, depending on where the applicant resides)
Salary
In line with the current industry standard
Wage to be discussed dependant on relevant experience for the right candidate
