Job Description

Piran Composites are an advanced carbon fibre manufacturing company producing high specification components and structures for aerospace and defence OEMs. We are seeking a composite operative to undertake a variety of tasks within the production environment. Training will be provided for each task you will be expected to perform, however, ability to be able to work "hands on" with a background in engineering/manufacturing would be beneficial. Some examples of the tasks you will be performing below:

- Cutting and kitting of carbon fibre raw material

- Laying up on carbon fibre materials into mould tools

- Releasing of carbon composite components from moulds

- Cleaning/sealing/applying release agents to mould tools

- General cleaning and tidying of the work areas

- Maintaining and completing relevant paperwork

- Aid various production departments with tasks such as manual lifting and fitting, gluing, machine maintenance, packaging and documentation

- You may be be required to work early shift or late shift. 06:00-14:30 or14:00-22:30

To succeed in this role you will require good communication skills, ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in correct methods, be a team player, good time keeping and be able to work under pressure but also in a relaxed environment. Experience and skill operating computers and MS office a plus. This is a good opportunity for someone to come in and integrate themselves into the team environment.
