A forward-thinking school in Cambridge is seeking an ambitious Computer Science ECT to join its thriving department from January 2026. This is a superb opportunity for a passionate trainee or early career teacher to start their teaching journey in an innovative, technology-driven environment.
The Role
You will teach Computer Science across KS3 and KS4, helping students to explore coding, algorithms, and computational thinking. You'll receive comprehensive ECT support and opportunities to develop professionally through mentorship and training.
The Department
The Computing department is equipped with modern IT suites, robotics resources, and coding software, promoting creativity and problem-solving. Staff work collaboratively to deliver lessons that combine theory with real-world application.
Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons.
  • Inspire students to develop digital literacy and coding skills.
  • Support extra-curricular clubs in coding or robotics.
  • Contribute to curriculum design and innovation.
  • Participate in whole-school CPD and training programmes.
About You
  • Computer Science graduate with QTS or trainee status.
  • Strong understanding of programming and technology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Motivated to grow as a teacher within a supportive team.
