Job Type: Part-time 2 days, Permanent

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Computer Science teacher to join our school. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Computer Science to students of all ages, from Year 7 to Year 11, and will be expected to work closely with other teachers in the department to develop engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, using a range of teaching strategies to engage and challenge students. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as required to ensure that all students achieve their full potential. \xe2\x80\xa2 Work collaboratively with other teachers in the department to develop and share resources and ideas for teaching and learning. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance, using the school\'s online tracking systems and reporting to parents and carers as required. \xe2\x80\xa2 Attend staff meetings and CPD sessions as required to keep up to date with changes in the national curriculum and best practices in teaching and learning. \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in extracurricular activities and events.
Requirements:
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent. \xe2\x80\xa2 Relevant degree or equivalent in a related subject. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience teaching Computer Science to students of all ages, from Year 7 to Year 11. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum for Computer Science. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
