The Role:
We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and experienced
Computer Science Tutor
to deliver online, daytime tutorials for students referred through local authority EOTAS (Education Other Than at School) packages. This part-time position involves supporting students at
KS3, KS4 or KS5
during school hours (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM), term-time only.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned
KS3, KS4 or KS5 Computer Science lessons.
Provide personalised support for students with
SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
to meet their individual learning needs.
Work collaboratively with parents, healthcare professionals, and local authorities to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and provide detailed feedback to stakeholders as required.
Who We're Looking For:
We're looking for a teacher who is:
Passionate about computer science and inspiring a love for the subject.
Experienced and confident in supporting students with
SEND
.
Professional, reliable, and meticulous in lesson planning and delivery.
Adaptable to the needs of individual students and alternative provision settings.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
is essential.
Minimum of
Level 1 Safeguarding Training
(CPD-approved).
Strong experience working with children with
SEND
.
Minimum
BSc/BA degree
in computer science or a related subject.
Enhanced
DBS check
(preferred or willingness to obtain one).
At least
2 years' experience tutoring or teaching
History, ideally in a 1:1 or small-group setting.
Availability to work
during school hours (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
, term-time only.
