Great Pelanks Tech Ltd T/A Jam Coding (Sheffield) is one of the largest providers of Computing Education in the UK. Our mission is to deliver life skills to the next generation of digital citizens. Digital skills are more than being able to code and use a computer. They extend to safe usage, the digital opportunity and digital resilience. We believe that young people should be educated in all these digital skills. Learners graduate from our workshops knowing the importance of coding and digital skills. Position Overview:



We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Computing Teacher who is passionate about teaching young children the basics of coding and computational thinking. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and empower students to become confident and capable digital creators.

Responsibilities:



Develop and deliver engaging lessons on coding and computational thinking for students

Introduce basic programming concepts using age-appropriate tools and platforms.

Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to explore and experiment with technology.

Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.

Collaborate with colleagues to integrate computing concepts into interdisciplinary projects and activities.

Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in technology education.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education, or related field (preferred but not required for unqualified candidates).

Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of fundamental programming concepts and computational thinking.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.

A growth mindset and a willingness to continuously learn and develop professionally.

Pay: 12.50-20.00 per hour
