Conference and Event Co-ordinator



0.5 FTE (17.5 hours per week, averaged across 7 days)



Salary grade 3 - 12,820 pro-rata October 2025



The College has introduced hybrid working which enables employees to work from both their home and in the College. The Role



Reporting to the conference and event manager, the conference and event coordinator is responsible for the efficient planning of all events on behalf of the College. The post holder will interact frequently with internal and external stakeholders, managing our existing client's expectations and build strong relationships with our new clients.

About You



oA degree level education or equivalent experience

oExperience working with diary and venue booking systems

oExperience of hybrid event delivery

oExperience of working in a busy corporate event venue

oExperience of event planning and venue booking processes

oExperience of conference organisation

oExcellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to influence decision makersat all levels

oExperience across corporate and medical sectors is preferred but not essential

oStrong interpersonal skills in order to promote the business

oExcellent written and verbal communication skills

oStrong teamwork, communication and presentation skills

oDiplomatic and skilled in complaint resolution

oStrong negotiator

oClient focussed

oDetail orientated

oExcellent organisational and record keeping skills

oAbility to work under pressure

oAbility to work independently and flexibly within team setting

oAbility to use own initiative appropriately

Job Context and Special Features



Due to the nature of the duties and responsibilities associated with this role, the post holder will be expected to work 2.5 days out of seven every week. The working pattern will normally be a Monday and Tuesday with a half day Wednesday and the shifts will be variable, covering early mornings or evenings. There will be occasions when weekend working will be required. A flexible approach to the role is required.
