Job Summary:



The Conference & Banqueting Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of conferences, meetings, banquets, weddings, and other events. This role ensures that all events are delivered to the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction, working closely with clients, the culinary team, service staff, and other departments to achieve operational and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:



Event Coordination:

Manage and coordinate all conference and banqueting operations. Act as the main point of contact for clients at event execution. Conduct site visits and pre-event briefings with clients if required

Team Management:

Lead, train, and supervise conference and banqueting staff. Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all events. Monitor performance and provide coaching or disciplinary action as needed.

Operational Excellence:

Ensure all events are set up according to client specifications and organizational standards. Oversee room setup, equipment use, and breakdown after events. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards in all event spaces.

Financial & Administrative:

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures. Monitor event expenses and ensure profitability. Prepare post-event reports and client feedback summaries.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional guest service and resolve issues or complaints promptly. Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business. Act as duty manager and be part of the duty management roster

Qualifications:



Proven experience in a similar role within hospitality, hotels, or event management. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and licensing laws. Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

This is not an office based role but a hands on role running the events - weekend work is involved.



Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 30,000.00 per year
