Carmichael are recruiting for an experienced Configuration Manager, for a tier one contractor, to work at AWE

You must be able to obtain security clearance

The Role:

As a Configuration Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing the configuration and change control processes for our complex engineering systems. Your expertise and meticulous approach will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate recording, control, and traceability of design, documentation, and hardware configurations throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain configuration management policies, procedures, and tools.
• Develop and implement configuration management plans to support engineering projects.
• Facilitate the identification, documentation, and control of configuration items.
• Coordinate and execute configuration audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage the change control process, including assessing and implementing requested changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper configuration identification and control.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in configuration management or a related field, preferably within a highly regulated industry.
• Solid understanding of configuration management principles, processes, and tools.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to configuration management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with configuration management tools and systems is highly desirable.
