ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Connected Car Mobile Application Architect you will collaborate with the Connected Car Mobile Application Feature Owner to deliver a suite of mobile applications supporting our Beyond100 strategy.
This role is responsible for managing the development of a best in class Connected Car experience by exploring new developments / possibilities and innovations to optimise the performance and quality of our mobile applications.. The scope of the role includes developing new applications from conceptualisation to deployment, and also managing existing applications, maintaining them till the end of their life.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for end to end design of mobile related Connected services architecture, including mobile application, middleware, cloud infrastructure, 3rd party integrations, content providers etc.
• Responsible for the management of nominated outsource/supplier partners to/from concept to implementation
• Responsible for conceptual proposals/solutions via translation of user stories to mobile technical requirements
• Integration of mobile application best practices into the design solutions (to include adherence to regulations, e.g. privacy and security)
• Accountable for deliverables to a specified timeframe, quality and cost
• Responsible for the creation, maintenance and release of all technical documentation ((Architecture reference, sequence diagram etc.) for projects and lifetime
• Developing and maintaining specialist technical and business knowledge and capability, to ensure appropriate technical direction is provided.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will be a Mobile Application Architect with extended experience in mobile software engineering in IoT or Automotive industry. You will be able to make recommendations and presentations to the business in your area of technical specialism, with the ability to explain and break down technical detail/direction to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience with mobile architectures (MVVM, MVC etc.) and architecture modelling practices (UML, Swagger etc.)
• Experience developing and optimising iOS and Android applications
• Experience in designing technical mobile solutions
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience working with Jira suite
• Knowledge of mobile security policies and vulnerabilities, access control etc.
• Experienced in backend platform architecture / API design
• A degree or equivalent engineering experience is required for all engineering roles.
• Proficiency in German language would be an advantage
