Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team in the Construction and General Building Trade. This role involves a variety of tasks related to building and construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Carry out construction tasks including framing, roofing, plastering, and finishing work. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements. Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Assist in the installation of structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, and cabinetry. Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with building codes and regulations. Maintain a clean and organised work environment. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project timelines are met. Report any issues or discrepancies to the site supervisor promptly.

Skills

Proficiency in various construction techniques and methods. Strong understanding of safety protocols within the construction environment. Ability to read technical drawings and plans accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Effective communication skills for working within a team setting. Physical stamina and strength for manual labour tasks. Previous experience in construction or general building trades is advantageous but not essential.
