What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

  • Ensure the AstraZeneca construction safety and quality governance on capital projects
  • Communicate to project team and customers the work you\'re doing, dependencies and risks associated as each project progresses through design and delivery phases. Working during both the pre-construction and construction phases
  • Ensure the quality of work is up to the correct standard
  • Ensure that the AZ CDM process is followed and keep compliance
  • Ensure SHEQ practices and processes are fully embedded in each project
  • Ensure full compliance with project management policies and procedures
  • Supervise the day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) \xe2\x80\x9cend to end\xe2\x80\x9d. Activities to include but not be limited to sub-contractor management and site supervisory duties
  • Work closely with relevant collaborators to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s)
  • Conduct quality and safety inspections using AZ Digital system
Forming Relationships:
  • Build strong effective working relationships with customers and site teams
  • Use good judgment in all project communication and ensure that key collaborators including the team, client and management are informed of project activities in a timely manner
  • Ensure project meets internal and client expectations with respect to safe delivery, quality, budget, delivery timelines
Essential Criteria
  • Experience supervising construction projects, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Ability to plan and coordinate labour, equipment, and work schedule
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communicate optimally and fluently
  • Proficient in Health and Safety law and legislation
  • Shown Supervisory experience in an M&E, construction or critical environment
  • Shown experience of managing a team
  • Recognised technical qualification in construction, Mechanical or Electrical or similar
  • Ability to encourage confidence
  • High degree of integrity
  • Highly motivated and self-aware
  • Ability to travel across the UK as the needs of the role requires
Desirable Criteria
  • Fully proficient with Project Management methodology & construction supervision
  • Shown experience of managing / supervising construction projects
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations
  • SMSTS qualified
  • IOSH / Nebosh (not essential)
