We're now looking for a Construction Contracts Manager who is excited, motivated, and ready to properly get stuck in. This is a hands-on role within a small, close-knit team, where you'll play a key part in delivering exceptional projects and helping move the company forward.

Job Overview


We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Contract Manager to oversee and coordinate contractual agreements within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with a background in management, negotiation, and project oversight to contribute to our ongoing success. The Contract Manager will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, mitigating risks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes across various construction and project management initiatives.

Duties



Develop, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure favourable terms and compliance with organisational policies. Lead the implementation of improved contract management processes, driving compliance, risk mitigation, and commercial control across the business. Oversee the entire contract lifecycle from inception through to completion, including amendments and renewals. Coordinate with project teams, clients, and suppliers to facilitate smooth contract execution. Monitor project progress against contractual obligations using tools such as Microsoft Project and other organisational software. Manage deadlines and deliverables effectively through excellent time management skills. Lead negotiations to resolve disputes or issues that arise during contract execution. Maintain comprehensive records of all contractual documentation using Microsoft Office suite applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and specialised project management software. Ensure all contractual activities adhere to relevant legal standards and organisational policies. Provide leadership and guidance to team members involved in contract administration. Conduct regular reviews of ongoing projects to identify potential risks or delays and implement corrective actions promptly.

Skills



Proven management experience with strong leadership capabilities. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Project for project planning and tracking. Advanced organisational skills with an aptitude for multitasking across multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, essential for effective stakeholder engagement. Sound knowledge of project management principles within construction or related industries. Adept at using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook for documentation and correspondence purposes. Valid driving licence is desirable for site visits or meetings outside the office environment. Good understanding of IT systems relevant to contract management processes. This role is ideal for a proactive professional eager to utilise their expertise in a dynamic environment where organisational excellence is valued. The Contract Manager will be instrumental in ensuring that all contractual commitments are met efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance across all projects undertaken by the organisation.
