About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Construction Fit Out Estimator to join our Whitstable office. The successful candidate will bring experience in retail fit out and refurbishment projects, typically valued between 500,000 and 5 million. You will take ownership of the estimating process, from initial enquiry through to tender submission, ensuring accuracy, value, and competitiveness throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage detailed cost estimates for fit out and refurbishment projects.
Analyse tender documentation, drawings, and specifications.
Source and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify efficiencies and mitigate risks.
Prepare and present tender submissions and cost plans.
Maintain and update cost databases and estimating systems.
Support project handovers and contribute to value engineering discussions.
Requirements
At least 3 years' experience as an Estimator in construction fit out or refurbishment.
Proven experience in retail sector projects.
Confident working with project values from 500k to 5m.
Excellent attention to detail and financial accuracy.
Strong communication, negotiation, and IT skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team under tight deadlines.
