Construction Health & Safety Officer Exeter
6 Month Contract
Are you passionate about creating safe, compliant, and thriving construction environments? We are currently seeking a Construction Health & Safety Officer to join one of the cities' largest estate holders on an interim basis to oversee an exciting period of re-development.
In this pivotal role, you'll lead on health and safety for all building works-from new builds and refurbishments to maintenance projects-ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and the highest safety standards.
What You'll Do

• Shape and implement construction health & safety policies and procedures.
• Advise on safety across major projects and campus-wide initiatives.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Deliver training and guidance to staff and contractors.
• Collaborate with the client's Health & Safety Team and external bodies like the HSE.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in a construction-related discipline.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in construction safety management.
• Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety legislation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable: Chartered status (CIOB, RICS, RIBA), IOSH/APS membership, NEBOSH Diploma.
