Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with various construction tasks, supporting the overall progress of a new school building project. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to the development of a new town. Responsibilities

Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment on-site Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organising materials Support skilled tradespeople such as bricklayers, carpenters, and electricians in their tasks Carry out general labouring duties including supporting the electricians by holding, lifting, and moving materials Maintain a safe and tidy work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining good housekeeping as per the client's requirements Operate basic machinery and tools under supervision as required Follow instructions from site supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met

Requirements

A valid CSCS card. Previous experience in construction or manual labour Ability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods Good organisational skills with attention to detail Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites Must be willing to work indoors/outdoors in winter weather conditions Able to travel to/from site
Job Types: Temporary, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: 12.21-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
