Construction logistics refers to the planning, coordination, and management of vehicle deliveries, the flow of materials, equipment, and people to and from a construction site. It ensures that everything needed for construction arrives at the right place, at the right time, and in the right condition, while minimizing disruption, cost, environmental impact and ensuring safety.

The apprentice in the Construction Logistician Apprenticeship scheme (Improvement Technician Apprenticeship - NVQ Level 3 will follow a work-based, industry specific, 18 months, formal learning framework provided by Barnet Southgate College and Cidori, Whilst gaining valuable knowledge and experience. This qualification will allow the individual to demonstrate their training for progression in the industry. The learner will gain an understanding and proficiency in all elements of Construction Logistics. The role is aimed at both new entrants to the industry and those seeking to progress their knowledge and experience from within the construction industry. The apprentice will be supported by MDJV to dedicate a minimum of 20% of your contracted hours per week to studies. You will be attending classes in multiple locations to ensure a better understanding of diverse types of works and methods within construction. The Apprentice will provide support and promote awareness and adoption of best practice by the Project Team and Subcontractors, assist in the development and implementation of the MDJV System and report on the performance of the Project.
Upon the completion of the apprenticeship, it is expected the candidate will be qualified for the following roles:
Logistics Site Supervisor,
Assistant Site Logistician,
Assistant Logistics Coordinator etc
