Site Manager - Cleanrooms / Laboratories / Nuclear - UK Wide - Competitive Salary + Benefits - Leading Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences & Nuclear Contractor
Our client works with world-leading organisations in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare & nuclear sectors to deliver cutting-edge cleanrooms, laboratories and highly controlled environments.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager to oversee turnkey construction projects including mechanical, electrical and HVAC installations within highly regulated environments.
This is a site-based role reporting to the Site Operations Manager. While the Project Manager retains overall responsibility, you will take full ownership of all on-site activities and act as the primary point of contact for the client.
Requirements:
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site operations across:
Safety, Health & Environment
Quality
Procurement & Resources
Programming & Planning
You must be confident operating in highly regulated environments and, where required, fulfilling the role of Principal Contractor.
To be successful you must be competent in the following:
Managing turnkey construction projects (construction, HVAC, mechanical & electrical works)
Full site health & safety management in line with CDM regulations
Producing and reviewing RAMS and COSHH assessments
Coordinating multidisciplinary trades and subcontractors
Interpreting drawings and technical documentation
Managing quality inspections, snagging and completion
Monitoring labour levels and project progress
Delivering projects to strict programme deadlines
Maintaining strong client relationships on site
Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, laboratory or cleanroom construction environments is highly desirable.
What you'll bring:
IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS (minimum requirement)
Minimum 10 years' industry experience
Strong knowledge of CDM regulations
Experience operating as Principal Contractor
Strong leadership and communication skills
Customer-focused approach
IT literacy
Ability to proactively manage and organise complex site activities
