James Thomason Joinery provides mid to large projects delivering from general joinery to highly innovative bespoke projects that push the boundaries of design.
We are a trade contractor specialising in timber and metal fire doors, providing high-grade commercial interiors, bespoke joinery, multi-trade fit outs, partitioning & architectural glazing with clients throughout the UK.
About the role:
The Project Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our projects and supporting the business processes. The output from this role will support the day to day operating of the business projects and underpin the customer and team experience here at JT Joinery.
Responsibilities
Manage the quality assurance process and administrative tasks of each project. Ensuring completion, tracking and client acceptance
Performing and overseeing accurate data entry and maintaining organised records
Business support for project personnel- resource scheduling, organising training, system access, required uniform, PPE equipment and day to day support of trades.
Creating the necessary client documentation for each project
Creating the necessary project personnel documentation per project for H&S, technical build, risk and method statements and RAMs
Managing project communications for company updates, H&S awareness, and any other business updates
Providing project social media updates for company platforms
Supporting ad-hoc company processes
Assisting with project procurement
Prepare and distribute project correspondence, reports, and other documents
Candidate requirements:
Proven experience in a construction project administrative or clerical role is required
Strong verbal and written communication to coordinate between teams, clients and stakeholders
Excellent attention to detail ensuring accuracy in documentation , contracts and project specifications
Robust time management, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines and keep projects on track
Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks, documents and schedules efficiently
A resilient approach to problem-solving with an ability to address issues as they arise and find practical solutions
Knowledge of construction processes, familiarity with construction terminology, methods, and regulations
Team collaboration: working effectively with diverse teams, including contractors, architects and trade specialists
Diploma or certification in a relevant field or project administration
Apprenticeships are also a viable pathway, for those with fewer formal qualifications for the right candidate, we will invest
