We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated
Commercial Construction Site Manager
to oversee the daily operations of commercial building projects. You will be responsible for managing site activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring health & safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities.
Ensure projects are delivered according to programme, budget, and quality standards.
Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, labourers, and site staff.
Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations (in accordance with CDM 2015).
Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, diaries, and H&S documentation.
Manage deliveries, site logistics, and materials ordering.
Attend project meetings and provide updates to senior management.
Identify and mitigate potential delays or risks on site.
Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and other statutory requirements.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial construction projects (e.g. offices, retail units, warehouses, schools, healthcare, etc.)
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Black/Gold Card.
First Aid at Work certificate.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to interpret drawings and technical documents.
IT literate (Microsoft Office, project management software).
