Construction Site Manager

who has a mind-set to get things done. This role is integral to scaling the company's ongoing success by ensuring the efficient delivery of multiple projects to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Site Operations Management:



Oversee the day-to-day on-site activities for multiple construction projects to ensure timely and quality execution. Provide hands-on technical support when required, assisting site personnel with troubleshooting and task completion. Collaborate with builders, labourers, and tradespersons to resolve on-site challenges and ensure progress. Assist the Project Engineer with coordinating materials logistics and movement between sites. Monitor the performance of site personnel to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. Conduct quality control inspections, ensuring completed tasks meet the highest structural, safety, and living standards. Delegate tasks effectively, including overseeing material deliveries, signing delivery orders, and maintaining site documentation. Support the Project Engineer and Operations Manager in addressing any on-site challenges or additional requirements.

2. Stakeholder Coordination and Communication:



Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing technical issues and achieving high levels of satisfaction. Identify potential changes or rework early and communicate with the Project Engineer and Quantity Surveyor. Coordinate with building control surveyors to ensure timely inspections and sign-offs. Report client escalations or grievances to the Project Engineer for resolution.

3. Quality and Process Improvement:



Promote continuous improvement by minimising material waste and optimising resource efficiency. Support standardisation of materials and processes in collaboration with the Project Engineer.

4. Personnel Management and Health & Safety:



Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards for personnel, assets, and the site. Identify and address training needs for site personnel to enhance skills and meet project demands. Assist the Operations Manager in developing the competence of tradespeople to align with project requirements.

Skills Required:



Essential Skills:



Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously. Minimum of eight years of experience in delivering residential construction projects. Relevant formal qualifications in the construction industry (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or similar). Strong technical knowledge and hands-on ability in various construction disciplines. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage expectations of clients, suppliers, tradespeople, and regulatory authorities. Ability to build trust and establish lasting relationships with stakeholders. Self-motivated, independent thinker with the ability to inspire teams and drive results. Problem solving ability, logical and analytical thinking. Valid UK driving license and clean driving record.

Desirable Skills:



Familiarity with technology and processes that enhance construction efficiency. Proficiency in basic computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office). Willingness to adopt and implement technology solutions for improved outcomes.
