Site Manager / Temporary Works Coordinator - Porthmadog, North Wales

Grade II Listed Mill Conversion - 27 Apartments

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager who is also a qualified Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to lead the delivery of a major renovation and new-build integration project in Porthmadog, Gwynedd.

Project includes:

Grade II listed mill renovation New structural steel frame Lift installation Groundworks & drainage Attenuation tank with pumped connection to main road sewer New utilities and infrastructure works
Requirements:

Strong experience managing complex refurbishment projects TWC qualification & deep understanding of BS5975 procedures SMSTS, CSCS Experience with structural alterations, temporary propping, heritage fabric and civil works Ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain programme & safety on a constrained site
Contract: Full-time, site-based

Start: Immediate

Location: Porthmadog, North Wales

Duties



Oversee daily site operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and labour teams to meet project specifications Monitor health and safety compliance across the site, implementing necessary measures Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained Manage project documentation, including progress reports, safety records, and change orders Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate progress and resolve issues Control project costs and manage budgets effectively to prevent overruns Lead meetings with team members to review progress and address any challenges

Skills



Proven management experience in construction or infrastructure projects Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively Proficiency in Primavera P6 for project scheduling and resource allocation Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Effective communication skills for liaising with stakeholders at all levels Ability to problem-solve quickly and make informed decisions under pressure Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
This position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Pay: 180.00-250.00 per day
