We are seeking to appoint: Construction Technician
Aims of Job/Job Purpose
The main responsibility of this role is to support the day-to-day effective running of construction program
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
To keep Workshops clean and tidy and ensure standards of hygiene are met and maintained
To support apprenticeship end point assessments
To assist lecturers in all practical classes
Be responsible for equipment, first aid requisites, fitting and consumables
Log all tools and equipment in and out of tool stores
To maintain materials and tooling
Keep inventory and stock of all tools and equipment
To check that all equipment is in a safe working order at all times
Liaise with curriculum staff in ordering tools, consumables, equipment and keep accurate budgetary records
Develop work areas for students use
Maintain work areas
Plan and progress a series of jobs, keeping the line manager informed of activity
Attend and contribute to the section meetings
Prepare practical's for classes as requested by teaching staff
Work in other trade areas for the effective support of students and cover for absent colleagues
Maintain high standards of health & safety in own work and in the workshop area
