About the Role



We are seeking a proactive

Construction Technician

to join our pre-construction team. This role focuses on providing accurate site data, measurements, and cut-and-fill calculations to support project planning, estimating, and feasibility studies. The ideal candidate will combine technical competence with strong analytical skills, ensuring our pre-construction planning is precise and reliable.

Key Responsibilities



Calculate cut-and-fill volumes and assist in earthworks planning for feasibility and tender submissions. Support estimators with quantity take-offs and preliminary cost analysis. Interpret drawings, site plans, and specifications to provide accurate pre-construction data. Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support project proposals and budgets. Liaise with project managers, engineers, and estimators to ensure accurate and practical pre-construction planning. Contribute to risk assessments and advise on potential site constraints or challenges. Maintain accurate records and update pre-construction databases with measurement data.

Skills & Qualifications



Essential:



Technical knowledge in construction, civil engineering, or surveying. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications. Attention to detail and accuracy in all work. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable:



Certificate, diploma, or degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related field. Experience with cut-and-fill calculations and site grading. Experience with pre-construction processes, estimating, or CAD software. Understanding of construction methods, materials, and site constraints.
