ROLE: Construction Tutor
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear
Salary: 120 - 180 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full Time, Temporary to Permanent
GSL Education are currently seeking a passionate and hands-on Construction Tutor to join a dedicated Post-16 provision in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced construction professional to support learners in developing essential vocational skills and achieving their qualifications.
Job Summary of a Construction Tutor:

• Plan, deliver, and coordinate engaging Construction lessons for post-16 and pre-16 learners.
• Support learners working towards Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications, ensuring progress is effectively monitored and recorded.
• Deliver practical training in areas such as bricklaying, plastering, painting, decorating, and design technology (DT).
• Provide guidance and motivation to help students prepare for further education, apprenticeships, or employment.
• Promote health and safety best practices within all workshop and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with other staff and external providers to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements to be a Construction Tutor:

• Looking for long-term employment and available to start immediately.
• Has some tutoring or teaching experience (up to Level 2).
• Previous experience working within the construction sector.
• Preferably skilled in plastering, bricklaying, painting, and DT.
• Strong practical knowledge, communication, and organisational skills.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
