You'll help shape cutting-edge internal products within our AI Labs, and you'll be delivering high-impact AI solutions for clients across complex industries like defence, construction, and nuclear.

, and report into one of our Engagement Directors. Your Performance Manager and project assignment will be confirmed once your first engagement is agreed.

This is what you'll be doing





As a Data Science Consultant within our Digital capability you'll be joining us as we build momentum. This means there's room for people to shape how we grow, not just keep up with it. Some of your key day to day activities will include:


While on engagement you will work closely with customers to understand their challenges and translate these into clear, actionable tasks You'll
design and deliver data science solutions, regularly reporting back to the customer to make sure it meets their requirements and algins to their expectations
Work collaboratively with other data experts and domain specialists to share knowledge, develop best practices, and align technology with business objectives Often, you'll be developing and/or deploying solutions in customer infrastructure which may have strict security controls When not on engagement, you'll
contribute to internal innovation efforts including helping us build our AI Labs capability and support business development through technical input to assist us in winning new engagements

The skills you'll need to succeed in this role




Advanced Python skills:

essential for day-to-day development across our projects

Hands-on machine learning experience:

including techniques such as classification, clustering, and deep learning

Cloud development experience:

ideally with Azure, but AWS or GCP also valuable

Strong version control practices:

confident using Git, with experience in collaborative workflows like pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/GitHub)

Data storytelling and visualisation:

ability to translate data into insight using tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, or dashboarding platforms like Power BI or Tableau



How we'll assess your skills





Our interview process for this role will involve three steps:


Step 1:

Meet with our Recruitment Manager, Corina. She'll introduce you to Squarcle, the role, and answer any questions you may have about us. We'll be assessing some basic skills for the role and finding out more about your background.


Step 2:

Meet with our Senior Manager - Data Science, Jade. She'll deep dive into the role and your capabilities.


Step 3:

Meet with our Capability and Innovation MD, John and Senior Advisor for AI, Rob. They'll home in on your consultancy skills and values alignment.
