Overview

We are looking for a Consultant Immigration Lawyer - who is either regulated by the IAA or SRA. Must have 5 years work experience.

How it would operate

Working as a consultant you will need to be able to generate your own work. However, we'll never leave you completely on your own.

We have an experienced business development team, run through a bespoke system that gives our consultants flexibility to pick up leads based on their capacity. Knowing this often gives our consultant more confidence when they join and it often helps get them up and running.

Duties

Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in immigration matters, including visas, green cards, asylum applications, and deportation defence. Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents, including petitions and applications for immigration benefits. Negotiate with government agencies on behalf of clients to secure favourable outcomes in their immigration cases. Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and policies to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice. Represent clients in hearings before immigration courts and other relevant authorities. Maintain detailed records of client interactions, case progress, and documentation submitted. Collaborate with other legal professionals to develop strategies for complex cases.

Experience

A qualified solicitor or regulated IAA advisor with a valid practising certificate in immigration law is essential. Proven experience in handling a variety of immigration cases is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients' interests. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and professionalism. A commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining confidentiality at all times. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
