We support organisations with:

consultancy safeguarding improvement training data-driven change project management
And now, we are looking to add another

Consultant in Child Protection

to our mission -- someone who wants meaningful work, flexible projects, and the chance to make a real difference.

? How This Role Works



Instead of a day-rate or hourly billing model, TICCS works on a

fixed-fee project basis.



Consultants are offered individual pieces of work with:

a clearly defined scope specific deliverables a fixed fee agreed timelines support from our Project Manager and Data Analyst
You decide which projects you take on.
No timesheets. No chasing hours.
You are paid for outcomes -- not for time spent.

? What a Typical Project Might Involve



Reviewing child protection or safeguarding arrangements Delivering trauma-informed training Providing expert advice and written recommendations Supporting organisations to improve their safeguarding systems Leading improvement planning or evaluation Producing clear, professional reports
Every project is scoped and agreed in writing before work starts.
For larger pieces of work, payment may be split across milestones

? Who We're Looking For



We are particularly interested in applicants who have previously held senior roles in:

Third sector organisations working in child protection or trauma recovery Education safeguarding/child protection leadership roles Child protection partnerships or multi-agency services Social work or policing with substantial safeguarding responsibility
You will be:

Passionate about child safety An excellent communicator Confident writing professional reports or delivering training Comfortable working independently with support available when needed Motivated to help organisations improve outcomes for children

? Essential Requirements



Significant child protection experience Senior leadership responsibility in education, third sector, social work or similar Strong written and verbal communication skills Laptop/PC and ability to work remotely Driving licence and car for occasional travel Skills in Microsoft Word/Excel/Teams/Zoom
