University Hospital Birmingham is seeking to employ a Consultant Neurologists to sustain and develop the existing services, both inpatients and outpatientsand to provide comprehensive care for the population of Birmingham with general and specialist neurological conditions.This post is funded to facilitate the provision of General Neurology and Specialist services for the West Midlands region and are based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, with the expectation of service delivery across any University Hospitals Birmingham site. It is likely that there will be time spent in a partner centre within the regional neuroscience network. This will be determined by individual interests and the needs of the partner sites. The successful candidate will, alongside general neurological duties, provide predominantly outpatient care as well as some inpatient care of adults with a range of neurological conditions and help to co-ordinate the long-term care of such patients in the community.Applicants are invited for Consultant Neurologist and are encouraged to have a special interest in areas that fit with the current department needs.CompanyUniversity Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) is one of the largest teaching hospital trusts in England, serving a regional, national and international population.It includes Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Solihull Hospital and Community Services, Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham Chest Clinic.
