Job Description

Key work streams identified for the Division include to:

Ensure delivery of excellent services of high-quality screening programmes which meet or exceed performance standards. Develop the screening programmes in line with evidence base to improve outcomes for population in Wales. Implement equity strategy to reduce inequity of uptake to the screening programmes. Transform the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme to enable a sustainable quality service where demand is met by capacity.

Implement a National Lung Cancer Screening Programme for Wales We would welcome applications from Consultants in Public Health of any professional background, previous experience in screening is desirable but not essential. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Base to be agreed with the post holder and will be one of the Public Health Wales sites in Wales that has screening teams based and working from. The role will provide the opportunity to contribute at all-Wales and UK level, and to work with Welsh Government, Health Boards, Primary Care and Third Sector organisations.
