Contract:

8 PA Consultant Post. It is expected to be a 1 in 4 second on call rota with a 6% availability supplement. Occasional support for first on-call will be required (but is very infrequent).

Salary:

87,780pa - 116,382pa according to level of experience. (FTE 109,725 - 145,478pa)

Oakhaven Hospice is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Consultant in Palliative Medicine to join our dynamic, friendly, and expanding medical team.

This new 8 PA Consultant post has been created to strengthen and develop specialist palliative care for people living with life-limiting illnesses in the beautiful New Forest and Waterside areas of Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering high-quality clinical care across hospice settings, including the inpatient unit, community, and hospital

Providing specialist advice and support to GPs, families, and clinical colleagues

Contributing to education, research, and leadership within the service

Developing areas of specialist interest to enhance and innovate palliative care provision

About You

Be able to demonstrate clinical excellence, with strong communication, organisational, and teaching skills

A thorough understanding and commitment to the principles of Clinical Governance

Applicants must hold (or be within 6 months of achieving) their CCT in Palliative Medicine at the time of interview.
