This is a full time position primarily based at The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, which would be focused on contributing to the delivery of the Nephrology services across the Tees Valley.Main duties of the jobAbout the role:This is a new position to complement an existing team of 8.9 WTE consultant Nephrologists. The post holders will be part of the team providing a comprehensive renal service (with the exception of acute renal transplantation) for the population of Teesside, South Durham and parts of North Yorkshire. There is an expectation of a responsibility for approximately 100 patients on renal replacement treatment and to contribute proportionately to the other aspects of the nephrology service, including in-patient and out-patient management of chronic kidney disease, management of transplanted patients, managing patients with AKI across the hospital and neighbouring hospitals, and procedures including vascular access and biopsies.
