We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Oncologist to join our specialised medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with cancer, providing comprehensive care that encompasses medical, emotional, and psychological support. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalised treatment plans, conducting clinical research to advance oncology practices, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care across various settings including hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, and home care environments.

Duties
Diagnose and develop personalised treatment plans for patients with various types of cancer using advanced medical imaging and diagnostic tools.
Administer chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and other medications safely and effectively.
Monitor patient progress through regular assessments and adjust treatments accordingly.
Collaborate with radiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Conduct or participate in clinical research studies aimed at improving oncology treatments and patient outcomes.
Provide guidance and support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, side effects management, and palliative care options.
Maintain detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Stay updated on the latest developments in oncology through continuous professional development and specialised training programmes.
Requirements
Medical degree recognised by relevant British medical authorities with a valid licence to practise as an Oncologist.
Extensive experience in clinical research within oncology is highly desirable.
Proven expertise in patient care across diverse environments such as hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, or home care settings.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oncology and familiarity with medical imaging techniques.
Experience in medication administration including chemotherapy protocols.
ICU experience is advantageous for managing critically ill patients.
Strong understanding of public health principles related to cancer prevention and control programmes.
Additional skills in nursing home or senior care, hospice care, or home care are beneficial for holistic patient management.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
