Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Rheumatologist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of rheumatologic conditions, utilizing advanced clinical skills and comprehensive knowledge of musculoskeletal and autoimmune disorders. This role involves collaborating with other specialists, utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems, and engaging in clinical research to advance patient care. Responsibilities



Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and assessment of symptoms related to rheumatologic disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacologic therapies such as biologics, corticosteroids, and DMARDs, along with non-pharmacologic interventions like physical therapy and lifestyle modifications. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools including medical imaging (MRI, CT scans) and laboratory testing to confirm diagnoses. Manage complex cases involving autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, gout, and vasculitis. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including radiologists, physiotherapists, and primary care providers to optimize patient outcomes. Document clinical findings accurately within EMR/EHR systems like Epic or other platforms ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Participate in clinical research studies related to rheumatology to contribute to evidence-based practice advancements. Educate patients about disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle adjustments through counseling sessions. Stay current with emerging treatments and guidelines by engaging in continuous professional development.

Qualifications



Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology. Proven experience in outpatient rheumatology practice with familiarity in managing autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions. Proficiency with EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms; experience with medical imaging interpretation is preferred. Strong knowledge of clinical research methodologies and familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes. Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment. Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and upholding high standards of patient confidentiality. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 95.00-100.00 per hour
