An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Social Worker for the Children and Families Assessment and Intervention Service.

You will need to be a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England and with relevant experience in statutory safeguarding services. You will have experience in delivering safeguarding services with an interest in expanding your learning and development in all aspects of early help provision and children\xe2\x80\x99s social care.

You should be able to demonstrate an ability to manage and develop staff, provide supervision and guidance, support team activities and strategic priorities.

As a Consultant Social Worker in the Assessment and Intervention Service you will need to be able to work at a fast pace and be well versed in our Effective Support for Families in Merton document .

You will work on a rota basis with set days being based in the office and providing management directions and sign off for early help and statutory service.

The Consultant Social Worker in the Assessment and Intervention service works closely alongside and support the Team Manager and colleagues in the Children and Families Services in to ensure that children are safeguarded in a timely and efficient manner. As a Consultant Social Worker you will have the opportunity to lead and support best practice including support NQSW\xe2\x80\x99s within the Team and will be the Practice Assessor for the new NQSW. You will receive excellent support through reflective supervision, group supervisions and an enhanced training offer that supports our practice model including, systemic practice, Signs of Safety, motivational interviewing, restorative and trauma informed practice.
