We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker to join the Early Intervention Team in CAFCASS, based predominantly in Birmingham- Covering West Midlans Area

Remote opportunity for you to work with CAFCASS, in the early intervention side.
it\'s all phone work, you may very occasionally be asked to go to court but it\'s very rare. Essentially do interviews over the phone with parents & children to make a case and pass it on to the next team who them do visits & make visiting arrangements etc.

The Early Intervention Team is the front door to Cafcass Services for children and their family. Your role within the team will be to apply your safeguarding knowledge to ensure that CAFCASS only intervene in children and young people\'s lives when they are in need of a service.
The service is fast paced and energetic, drawing on Child Protection expertise, analytical risk assessment, identifying key issues for the court and making safe recommendations in the best interests of the child.
As an EIT Family Court Adviser, you will attend initial hearings with Court Hearings to ensure that children remain central to all decision making. You will predominantly achieve this by conducting effective telephone interviews with applicants and respondents and assessing information received from other agencies.
For this position you will be required to have a solid knowledge and experience of safeguarding policies and procedures, as well and knowledge of the Child Arrangements Programme. You will also be required to have excellent written communication skills, including writing court reports.
You will have the opportunity of flexible working with this role, including working from home for the most part.

Essential Requirements:
  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 2 years\' experience as a social worker within children\'s services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
