Within BPS, the Finance team are part of a global network with the largest global footprint of any professional services firm. Services include organisational, analytical, and recording services for the financial activities of a business, and the preparation of various materials covering the financial transaction life cycle (i.e., collecting source documents, recording transactions, closing books, and preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders).
We are looking for a finance specialist with a strong background in accounting and finance to join our team of professionals, dedicated to improving and transforming our clients' business processes. You will be using your international finance experience to advise, implement and run client finance solutions for both prospective and existing clients. This is a market facing role that requires innovative thinking and international stakeholder collaboration with focussed outcomes.
This exciting role will involve the following:

  • Managing client finance and tax related information to support the day-to-day accounting, preparation of accounts (management and statutory financial statements) and tax including supporting client audit requests
  • Reviewing work products prepared by the teams in our delivery centres
  • Partnering with clients across multiple locations and time zones as their trusted advisor
  • Managing the end-to-end delivery process for management and statutory reporting processes, including oversight of delivery centre team members
  • Supporting clients through audit processes as a key liaison with external auditors
  • Supporting technical discussions with client stakeholders on matters of GAAP application
  • Embed team structure in accordance with standard operating procedures to achieve team and client objectives in the delivery of finance projects
  • Responsibility for meeting and exceeding contractual commitments and client expectations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure adoption of best practices and drive continuous improvement of finance processes, bringing automation and efficiency to the forefront of decision making
  • Maintain our quality control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures in delivery of finance projects with focus on automation, providing input to streamline processes to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Managing people from multiple teams and across geographies in both the day-to-day aspects of engagement processes plus supporting on team development and recruitment
  • Take an active role as a business leader within the high-performing team and support the overall objectives of the business

Essentials:
  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or equivalent
  • Experience in a Professional Services environment
  • Experience of delivering financial reporting services to entities located in the UK and overseas under IFRS, FRS 101/102 or US GAAP
  • Experience in a management role that includes exposure to finance, accounting, billing, treasury, budgeting, internal controls and audit, process improvement and project management
  • Proven competency to lead successful teams in a hybrid work environment
  • Experience with change management and business controlling
  • Willingness to learn new automation tools and have updated knowledge of upcoming technology and industry trends
  • Solid and effective working knowledge of SLA and KPIs reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines for deliverables and presentation of results
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required for presentations and reporting
  • Experience in accounting systems
Desirable:
  • Workiva Wdesk, Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE suite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle experience
  • Big 4 experience
  • Power BI or similar data visualisation and analytics tools experience
  • Global multinational experience

Business Process Decisions (BPD)
Our teams help businesses to manage their essential operational finance processes. We work closely with experienced professionals who provide advice, and practical support through a mix of outsourcing, contract personnel, co-sourcing, and project-related services.
Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
