The Role: Consumer Finance Manager
As a
Consumer Finance Manager
, you will lead the day-to-day execution and oversight of our vehicle finance operations, ensuring customers receive fair, efficient, and compliant financial solutions.
This is a key leadership role at Carsa, responsible not only for the
end-to-end processing of finance applications
but also for managing and mentoring our
Order Fulfilment Specialist
, who reports directly to you.
You will work closely with finance providers, underwriters, and internal departments to ensure every finance deal is handled with precision and care -- upholding
FCA standards
and promoting a best-in-class customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Deal Oversight:
Manage all aspects of consumer finance applications, with a focus on declined or complex cases to drive approvals.
Leadership & Management:
Lead, support, and coach the Order Fulfilment Specialist, ensuring performance, compliance, and service standards are met.
Compliance & Regulation:
Act as an FCA compliance ambassador, ensuring full adherence to regulatory guidelines across finance activity.
System Accuracy:
Ensure all customer and deal data is accurately recorded within CRM and lender systems.
Stakeholder Liaison:
Serve as the primary point of contact with our lender panel, underwriters, and internal stakeholders.
Customer Journey Ownership:
Oversee communication of finance terms with customers and support handovers in partnership with sales and fulfilment.
Commission Accuracy:
Ensure finance commissions and plans are calculated, documented, and reported correctly.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in
consumer finance management
, ideally within the
automotive retail industry
.
Strong understanding of
FCA guidelines
,
GDPR
, and
vehicle finance products
.
Prior experience in a
team leadership or supervisory capacity
.
Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities -- capable of translating complex terms for customers.
Tech-savvy -- confident using CRMs, lender platforms, and internal systems.
Flexible to work weekends on a rota basis.
