eye for visual storytelling that works across platforms? If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for a
Consumer PR Manager, Winner, to join the Allwyn UK Communications team.

ROLE PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Senior Consumer PR Manager, you will support efforts to make The National Lottery relevant
and exciting for modern Britain by helping to tell winner stories that resonate with audiences. Working with
your manager, you will help transform winning moments into compelling cultural moments that inspire and
excite across platforms.
You'll play a key role in managing relationships with publicity winners, ensuring they have a positive
experience while creating content and stories that showcase how The National Lottery changes lives. Your
role will involve supporting winner interviews and events, creating engaging content across multiple channels,
building media relationships, and helping to secure coverage that builds excitement and trust in The National
Lottery's ability to change lives.
Requirements
As the Consumer PR Manager, you will:

  • Support the planning and delivery of consumer PR initiatives that tell The National Lottery's winner stories, helping to show how Allwyn and The National Lottery are changing winners' lives for the better
  • Help organise and deliver winner events and reveal moments, supporting the creation of content that works across multiple platforms
  • Assist with winner interviews - including preparing briefing materials, supporting winners before and during media appearances, and drafting press releases
  • Support the quick delivery of timely winner stories by staying on top of the UK's daily news agenda and helping to spot opportunities to connect winner stories to relevant cultural moments
  • Help coordinate messaging across channels, working with social Media, Marketing, the Newsroom Editor and other colleagues to ensure consistency
  • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, including regional and local outlets, helping to secure positive coverage about National Lottery winners
  • Support the tracking and analysis of PR coverage, helping to identify trends and opportunities to improve performance Assist with media pitching, monitoring results and suggesting adjustments to approach
  • Work collaboratively with the Corporate Communications team on winner-specific communications
  • Support the Senior Consumer PR Manager in managing relationships with PR agencies
  • Stay up-to-date on journalist moves, consumer trends and digital communication developments
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • PR, media or journalism experience
  • Relationships with media outlets, particularly regional/local press
  • Experience securing media coverage across different platforms
  • Understanding of modern media consumption
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • A 'can-do' attitude with a positive, proactive mindset
  • Creative thinking and storytelling ability
  • Basic understanding of data and analytics to inform PR plans
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of current consumer and PR trends
