Job Title: Contaminated Land Consultant \xe2\x80\x93 Hydrogeology
Location: Winsford
Salary: \xc2\xa355,000 per annum plus mileage and great benefits
Role: Hybrid working with flexible working hours

Our client is a successful and established consultancy who believes in building long term relationships and providing exemplary service. Due to the growth of the business, they are now looking for a Hydrogeologist Consultant to join the team.

They specialise in waste management and work nationally with a client base of 500+ businesses in the waste, agriculture and general industry.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and have the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of projects. Our clients project portfolio spans the full lifecycle from feasibility studies through appraisal and optioneering to detailed design and site support providing a wide range of opportunities to develop your experience and advance your career.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Due to the nature of our work a full driving licence valid in the UK is essential.

  • A credible and authoritative expert in groundwater and land contamination, you\'ll have experience of delivering environmental improvements through others
  • A sound technical knowledge of constructing and interpreting conceptual models and hydrogeological risk assessment
  • Competency in one or more numerical hydrological modelling packages (exposure to HEC-RAS would be desirable)
  • Familiarity with the use and application of QGIS
  • Experience in field work such as site walkovers, managing infiltration tests in accordance with BRE365, scheduling, managing and undertaking water sampling events
  • Familiarity with groundwater chemistry and quality, and contaminant transport
  • Knowledge of land contamination risk assessment and remediation
  • Awareness of the technical frameworks and approaches by which land contamination is managed within England, along with relevant environmental regulations
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good report writing skills and literacy
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to competing demands in a time-pressured environment
