We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Marketing & Content Assistant
to join our team. This role combines marketing, social media, and editorial support -- perfect for someone who is creative, organised, and excited about technology publishing.
Role Summary
The Marketing & Content Assistant will support both marketing campaigns and editorial production, helping to grow Electronic Specifier's audience, strengthen our brand, and ensure high-quality content across our channels. You'll be hands-on with
weekly newsletters, podcasts, and video editing
, alongside social media and event promotion.
Key Responsibilities
Newsletters & Marketing Campaigns
Create and send daily, weekly, and LinkedIn newsletters.
Ensure newsletters are accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand voice.
Collaborate with the team to maintain a consistent content calendar.
Podcasts & Video Editing
Edit two weekly podcasts and prepare teaser clips for social media.
Support video editing for event coverage and interviews.
Upload and distribute content across YouTube and social channels.
Social Media & Community Engagement
Create and schedule posts across LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.
Monitor engagement and respond to comments or queries.
Spot opportunities to engage in relevant industry discussions.
Track and report basic social media metrics.
Editorial Support
Write, edit, and commission content for magazines and websites.
Proofread and sub-edit editorial and marketing materials.
Help with magazine layout and production.
Work with the marketing team to improve SEO on selected articles.
Events & Trade Shows
Assist with promoting industry events, webinars, and trade shows.
Support event logistics, including booth preparation and collateral.
Provide on-site support (international travel required), such as registration, client meetings, and event coverage.
Produce follow-up content, such as highlights or interviews.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field, OR 1-2 years' relevant work experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to create engaging copy and spot errors with attention to detail.
Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools.
Basic editing skills (podcasts and/or video) a strong advantage.
Organised, with strong time management skills.
Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced team.
Enthusiasm for technology and digital publishing.
Willingness to travel internationally to events and trade shows.
