We are hiring!
Our Client & Marketing department is looking for a Content Manager to join the firm on a permanent basis. Being based our of either our Nottingham, Manchester, Birmingham or London offices, this is a key role in the firm's communications team that will help deliver, and drive forward highly impactful, creative, and audience-specific marketing content across all areas of the firm that bring our brand positioning to life and support our internal clients in winning new work.
They will support the Senior PR & Communications Manager in delivering content, working closely with teams across the firm to support the continued development of our written content, digesting complicated information across a wide range of subjects and turn it into clear and compelling storytelling for a broad audience.
What does the role involve?

  • Lead on interviewing stakeholders and clients to create content which can be used across multiple channels.
  • Content capture and development: review information to develop key pieces of content across multiple channels including website, blogs, video, newsletters thought leadership, and case studies.
  • Responsible for managing and keeping up to date the firms writing and editorial guidelines.
  • Ensuring all content reflects the Browne Jacobson brand and tone of voice.
  • Evaluate and recommend where appropriate content tools that can increase both efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with the PR and Business Development teams to develop copy for service and product propositions.
  • Support the Business Development team with copywriting for brochures and client-facing documents, ensuring all content reinforces our brand positioning and tone of voice.
  • Any other responsibilities, as required.

  • A background in writing for professional services with a creative flair for writing and imagination and innovation in storytelling.

  • Helping the business join up and collaborate (departments, sectors, and regions).
  • Highly organised, able to multi-task and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Confident in adapting content and tone of voice to suit different audiences and channels.
  • A creative, curious, and confident communicator who is approachable and able to quickly form relationships and networks across the C&M team and the firm at all levels.
  • Adept at digesting and distilling complicated information and turning it into clear and compelling copy for a broad audience.
  • A genuine passion and enthusiasm for writing.
  • Pre-existing knowledge of the legal industry or else the ability to rapidly develop an understanding of complicated subjects across a wide variety of markets.
  • Communication skills: Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent attention to detail
